Camos PAPSA Single Satellite Dish System
For anyone who wants an automatic satellite TV system but doesn’t want to permanently install one on their vehicle or boat, Camos have the solution. The PAPSA (Portable Auto Positioning Satellite Antenna) “SINGLE” combines a 46cm dish with a single highly sensitive cassegrain LNB and advanced signal-finding electronics. It’s completely weatherproof and, with suction pads on its feet, it can be fixed to any smooth, level surface (such as a caravan roof) or even just placed on the ground or a table.
This unit is supplied with a convenient storage bag, when packed the dimensions for this are(H x W x D) 430mm x 521mm x 521mm
The unit has to be placed facing roughly south-east. After doing this, operation is fully automatic and is controlled via a remote controller which can be permanently mounted near the satellite receiver if required. The controller comes with approx 16ft / 5M of co-ax cable which can be easily slipped through most window openings, even when the window is closed.
The "SINGLE" model is programmed to look for the Astra 2 and Eurobird 1 satellites so that, wherever you are in Europe, you'll be able to watch British TV and listen to radio stations transmitting from the U.K.
When everything (TV, satellite receiver and PAPSA) is connected up and in position, connect the controller to a 12V power supply (an 8’ power cable with a lighter-type plug is supplied) and press the “on” button. The “PAPSA SINGLE” will quickly find and lock on to the Astra 2 / Eurobird satellites, enabling you to access British TV and radio channels all over Europe. Of course, as with any satellite TV system, the channels received may vary according to where you are. But, even as far south as Barcelona, you will be able to watch and listen to all the TV and radio programmes that are available to you at home.*
When it’s in operation, the PAPSA “SINGLE” uses virtually no power at all, getting its electrical supply from the receiver. When you want to pack the system away, simply press the power button again to get power to the motors and, within less than a minute, the dish will have lowered and returned to the “parked” position. It can then be stowed away in its bag or in a safe place where it won’t get banged or knocked.
*To watch subscription channels and other encrypted channels, you will need to use an appropriate receiver.
Any satellite receiver and any TV or monitor can be used with PAPSA units.
