This is a compact 12V / 230V, Free-To-Air satellite receiver which can be used with any satellite TV dish. It does not have any “fancy” options and its simplicity makes it very easy to operate even for complete beginners. Switch it on, select LIST and there’s the same channel list that appears on S.D. freesat receivers.

However, it does have all the features that you would expect of a F.T.A. receiver including a “Favourites List” which holds 20 channels. There are seven satellites pre-programmed with hundreds of channels which will enable TV and radio to be accessed all over Europe. Of course, as with any receiver, the channels available will depend on the dish system being used.

One very practical feature of the Zehnder ZX74E is the remote sensor (magic eye) which is included. This enables the receiver itself to be stored in a locker or cupboard whilst being operated via the remote control and sensor.
