+ What Equipment do I need to watch SKY?
If you want to watch SKY in your Caravan you will need the following.
1. A Dish of some sort
2. A SatFinder to locate the satellite
3. A compass for the direction
4. A knowledge of the angle the dish must be at.
When you have this little lot, you should be able to locate the Astra satellite.
+ How do I stop my SKY box turning off?
This is a feature that SKY has introduced in an attempt to look GREEN.
To turn it off select SERVICES on your remote, then select SKY PLUS SETUP and turn off the Automatic standby.
+ Do I need to buy a SKY receiver from SKY direct.
No. You can use any SKY receiver to watch SKY. Even the on thats been in the cupboard for 2 years.
+ Can I take my viewing card from home?
YES. You can use your viewing card from home but you will not get all the premium channels. You will only get the basis channels.
+ I have set my dish up and I am getting a signal but have no picture, whats wrong?
This is a normal problem and nothing to worry about. You have 2 different aspects to a satellite signal. The first is signal strength and the second it quality.
The Quality is the one we are interested in as the signal has no real bearing on the picture.
It may be that you have the dish pointing at the wrong satellite, you are looking for the lock indicator to say OK, the network ID to show 0002 and the transport stream to show 07d4. Then you can move the dish to get the best quality.

A free to air receiver is any receiver that can receive stations that are transmitted free from and sayellite.
